Rational
My Topic was Nature Photography and my aim was
to show the reader 3 locations for photography that showcase Wellingtons
beautiful nature. The 3 locations I chose were Moa Point (coastal), Mount
Kaukau (hills/mountains) and Birchville Dam (bush/waterfalls). I chose these
three locations because they all have very different scenery. The Atmosphere
and attitude that I wanted to convey was minimal, geometric and structured to
represent elements of cameras and photography. I achieved by layering with
strong use of rectangles to represent the photographs, Contrast, utilizing
negative space for the minimal look, and using one stand out colour to reflect
the location. What I learnt about my own process is that I need to be creating
more ideas at the beginning and pumping out quick concepts rather than spending
time on just one good concept.
